5 On A Joyride - Cody ChesnuTT

Come across this song on a Korea variety show. I love hearing new songs on shows (Yes, I watched too many shows, I know). This is nice on a quiet afternoon.

Food: Tim Ho Wan

Happiness when I found this sun-bathing man in one of the store. I need to get more tea leaf, no more sachet. Whee~~~

Now, I am going to post more food blogs. Since I am in Hong Kong, will start posting more Hong Kong food.

My first post is Tim Ho Wan, Hong Kong. It is like a must for tourist. Here we go.

I went to the latest branch in Olympian City. It is bigger than the one in IFC, much easier to get seats.

The placemat shows all their branches and address and their more popular dishes I think.

This is their menu. Not so many choices, make the decision making easier.

This is their signature dish. Crispy Roast Pork (Char Siew) Bun. It is a bit on the sweet side, and since this is their signature, it is a must to order.

This is my favourite dish there. Steamed Lotus Leaf Glutinous rice.

Prawn Zhu Chang Fen. Not bad. The prawn is crunchy and fresh.

Some Teo Chew steam kuah. Not really my cup of tea.

Siew Mai. One thing about the siew mai here, it is more about prawn than pork. If you like prawn, go for it.

In order for us to feel less sinful at eating at 9pm, we order this bland tasting vegetable. Actually, I don't mind eating this.

The total bill adds up to roughly SGD22. This is more on the cheaper side. Hong Kong food is pretty expensive. You won't get a bowl of noodle for SGD3.50. Dinner usually end up more than SGD15 unless you buy those buns and sushi take-out. Oh yah, there is this really good sushi take-out nearby. Will introduce that another time. I have a few other places in mind to introduce. =)

Music Wednesday

The end of the World - Skeeter Davis

Used to sing/listen to this song quite a lot in my secondary school. I even used the title of the song as the email address! It was really funny or weird when I have to tell people my email address, actually awkward is the right word here.

A walk in the Drizzling Neighbourhood

After complaining about the weather yesterday, i went ahead and put on a jacket and head out for a walk in the neighbourhood. I stayed near this Canal(I think), so should be a breezy walk. Guess what, it start to drizzle. I went ahead anyway. It is actually beautiful if it is not raining. A lot of elderly wear walking along the pathway, and quite a few people were fishing in the canal.

Below greet me when I open up the curtain today. I can't see nothing. I miss the sun!

I guess I have to stay home today. Hopefully tomorrow will be bright and sunny. I want to know this neighbourhood. =) I want to find nice independent cafe to park myself.

Dancing in foreign land

Finally gotten myself a new laptop. I can now blog with ease. Some updates: I had quit my job and move to Hong Kong, not on a long term basis, i would say. I will be blogging more on Hong Kong since i am here now.

I am in the process of setting up myself for the people, the weather, the food and etc. I am dying to get a Nespresso machine, so that I can have a cup of Kopi o every morning. I haven't had any nice Kopi o here. This is pretty sad for me, i need my daily wake up drink. I won't be here for a long term, so it is pretty wasteful to get a Nespresso machine, so I am in a dilemma.

The weather is quite gloomy now. Rained the whole day yesterday. I wore shorts out and I think I had gotten a lot of disapproving stare. -.- I can't wait for the sun to be out so that I can jog around this neighbourhood. Most likely next month, I hope.

This is my first time using Apple laptop, I must say I love the speaker. It is so much better than my previous laptop, or my office laptop.

Okie, I will continue murmuring to myself tomorrow.
