Singapore

I am back!

I really want to share this video I took while on the river taxi.

Singapore

I am feeling seasick from watching the video. I must admit my video taking skill is not really fantastic. I will improve.

You are really beautiful, Singapore.

Happy Birthday Singapore

This year is Singapore 50th Birthday and this is one of the reason why I am back during this period. I feel the need to be back to celebrate our National day. I know a lot of Singaporean are actually out of town because of the long weekend, maybe that was why I felt the need to be back. Hahaha.

I went to Marina Bay area to see the fireworks. Below are some photos taken using my handphone.

Once again, Happy Birthday Singapore.

New Year in the Chinese Calendar

Happy Chinese New year to all

I did not do much visitation this year as something unlucky happened to me on the 3rd day of Chinese New year. Since then, I have been staying home. Daddy dearest is feeding me very well. He will ask me what I want to eat for lunch the next day. Don't think I will miss Singapore food for a while.

I love how Chinese New Year bring all the families together, even the extended families. Eating and gambling together, bickering and teasing non-stop, regardless of age. Oh, and drinking together. Best part is learning new drinking game from my cousin. She is damn good. Every new year, I will force her to teach me new game (usually it will involve using playing game). I also love Lo Lei, minus the mess of course.

How is your Chinese New Year so far? I hope you are having a good time. =D

Greeting from Singapore

I am back for a week!  This trip back is to accompany my parents. Guess they miss their source of noise around the house. No one to retort my dad when he is wrong, no one to nag my mum to make soup, no one to pop into my brother's room to show off a hideous haircut (Yup, that's me with my new haircut).

I am back for about 3.5 days and I already had 3 times BCM(Bak Chor Mee) and Kopi O, Nasi Lemak, Curry Fish Head, Krispy Kreme, Rice dumpling, etc. Tonight will be lavender Pig organ soup (I usually ordered meatballs soup instead), I love the soup. Singapore is really a city full of yummy food. My only wish is I can stomached all the food I love within this whole week.

Oh yah, I took the afternoon flight so that I can have dinner with my family. We had this family whatsapp chat room for us to discuss or share information with each other. We were discussing whats for dinner before my flight back. Guess what were the suggestions made by the geniuses in the family. The sister said Aston, and the brother said Pizza! If they come to Hong Kong, I am so going to bring them to try those Singapore Food in Hong Kong *Stabbing myself*.

I continued my world cup fever in Singapore with my cousins in the local Community Centre. The crowds were unbelievable.......... biased. The 12 a.m match were Germany v.s France. No prize for guessing which one was the popular team. 2 or 3 of my cousins and me were the only ones supporting France. I have nothing against Germany but I really like Number 2 in the France National Team. I was hoping to see him more in world cup!

He is sooooooo good-looking right.

I started this entry wanting to talk about this book I am currently reading but I totally lost focus. Maybe next entry then.

Sunny lander

I went missing for a while. 2 groups of people came Hong Kong last month and i fall sick the last week before back in Sunny Land.

It is always nice having people visiting me in foreign land. I had a very fun time travelling around Hong Kong, but i hate it when they had to leave. Yup, got me emotional for at least 1/2 days. Regardless, love having people over for a visit. =)

I am in Singapore now. Having BCM (Bak Chor Mee) now and almost everyday. My friend hates it when I use acronyms that doesn't make sense. I thought I was pretty cool like that. Haha.

Singapore is truly a food paradise. Other than home cooked food, my dad will take away yummy local fares for my lunch. I only have 2 more days to stuff more food into my tummy. I need to prioritise my list!

And below is Singapore for you. Wonderful weather we have here.

Southern Ridges, Singapore

My Family and i went there for a walk recently. It has been around for a few years now but it is my first time there (officially). Times like this, make me appreciate Singapore more. "Why?" you might ask.

With our limited land, it is more difficult to do urban planning. I would think the planning team must have face a lot of challenges. Whenever i look at Singapore landscape, i really think they are doing a good job.

My kind of Weekend

A pint or two on Friday is bliss. Even better when it is pair up with good music =)

Been a while since I have good raw beef. And guess what, I found one last weekend. But sadly, that's the only nice dish on the menu for me.

Pleasant surprise. Brought my family to one of my favorite place after dinner. And these beauties light up the sky. As short-lived as they are, they provide beauty while they last.

2 Days of MayDay Concert

No, I am not insane! You will be amaze by the number of people doing the same things. You just can't get enough. For the brief 3 hours plus (in concert term, 3 hours plus is way too long), you basically throw away your identity and immersed into the atmosphere.

We jumped, we scream, we clap, we dance (swaying side by side is consider dancing!), we laugh . If you have not experience it, go on and give it a try. One important pointer, find the singer/band that you like else boredom might be the one accompanying you.

Drink after the concert is a MUST. Okie, drinks during the concert is encouraged too, especially if you are watching a rock concert! But remember not to drink too much because you might be running to the toilet too frequently to enjoy the music.

Back to the concerts I attended in June. The band actually came out the idea of controlling the color of the light sticks of the whole crowd. For other countries, the audiences have to buy the light stick from the concert merchandise. For Singapore concert, we get free light sticks. No, our tickets are not more expensive than other countries. And the concert was Awesome! =)

For my own record, my second first row in MayDay concert.

Drinks after the concert. Yup, Alcohol.
